Thank you Teacher !

Hello my dear crafters  :)

I made this layered card tonight for my neighbour's son as he wanted something to gift his teacher on the upcoming teacher's day here . It's in September 5 and is celebrated in the honour of the late honourable first president of India  Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan who was also a great teacher of the time .

The centre image with the inbuilt sentiment is a digital printed one . I stamped the borders and colored them with colour markers. The borders are scored with scale and the wavy borders are hand drawn . Attached a sequinned lace to one side of the layer.
The colored papers which are used for layers are of 80gsm. The base card is from ivory card stock.

I will be adding more pictures of the card tomorrow morning clicked in proper lighting.

A tryst with Oil Pastels :D

Hi friends,

I tried to draw a simple bicycle as I don't have a cycle or any vehicle stamp . Then colored the same using oil pastels. Everything in the card is hand drawn and colored using pastels except the sentiment .

Hope you like the attempt despite of the flaws .

Zoo time !

Happy Sunday :) Here is a fun CAS card I made today with super cute foam back animal cutout  and stickers.

What's more fun is the lion's wobbly and googly eyes πŸ˜€πŸ˜ Moreover the lion sticker is also moves to a side when tilted :)

Paper Paradise

Helloz !

This is a scenic card I made which was inspired by    PP356 - A Theme Challenge from Nance .

First made some green quilled bubbles and arranged them in the form of a tree . Everything else is hand drawn and painted by water color and markers.  The lower part of the card is given the grassy ground effect with Tim Holtz distress ink.
The sentiment is rubber stamped  .

Thanks for visiting <3

A tribute to my Nation

India became independent on 15th August 1947 ... and the big day is approaching .
So dedicating this card to my motherland ❤️
I have made this card taking cue from the tricolor that adorns our national flag I.e Orange ,White and Green.

Orange stands for courage, bravery and boldness.. white for peace and Green for prosperity . The colors also aim to bind  all religions, castes and creeds together :)
Proud to be born in a country that is a fine amalgamation of ancient and modern.. where values , traditions and science don't collide but make a beautiful collage :)

This card indicates that even though the butterfly is  on a palm .. it's free to move around and explore its own sweet world . It's happy , independent and still grounded :)

Hand stamped the Palm :D and splattered the watercolors using a brush.
